A great movie I watched
Here's a good movie I watched. No, it was a great movie.
Ishtar. I found the dvd in a charity shop. I had seen it years ago, probably on VCR back in the 90s, and it was famous for being panned at the time, but I liked it when I first saw it all those years ago and I liked it even more when I watched it again.
It's got Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty as two unsuccessful song writers, who get caught up in foreign affairs, so to speak. Guns, and camels, and government agents and all that.
Ishtar was funny and so good. I can't figure out how it came to be called one of the worst movies ever, I really can't. Maybe it was just a few reviewers with no sense of humour back in the 1980s who said that and everyone felt like they had to agree or something daft because I don't get it. I really don't.
Plus it's got Charles Grodin. Charles Grodin!
Perfect.
